Locally Made. Globally Inspired.

That was the spirit behind the Urban Finds Bazaar, a vibrant showcase of Ethiopian craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation. Held on October 11 and 12 (Saturday and Sunday) at the Elilly International Hotel in Kazanchis, Addis Ababa, the two-day event brought together some of the country’s most talented designers, makers, and entrepreneurs under one roof.

Under the theme “Locally Made. Globally Inspired.”, the event featured more than 30 vendors, each showcasing the very best of Ethiopian talent.

The Urban Finds Bazaar celebrated the beauty of local artistry with a modern twist. Visitors explored an inspiring mix of products — from handwoven textiles and intricate baskets to jewelry, leather goods, home décor, and fashion pieces that blended traditional techniques with contemporary style.

Every item told a story of creativity, culture, and craftsmanship — reflecting Ethiopia’s rich heritage while embracing a global design sensibility.

Urban Finds was not just about shopping — it was an experience. The bazaar created a lively space where artists and customers connected directly, sharing stories behind their work. It served as a meeting point for design lovers, conscious shoppers, and anyone who appreciated authentic, locally made goods.

The atmosphere was warm and energetic, filled with music, laughter, and the unmistakable charm of Addis Ababa’s creative community.

The event also served as a networking platform for small businesses and creative entrepreneurs, allowing them to build visibility, exchange ideas, and connect with new audiences.

Throughout the weekend, the bazaar drew a vibrant crowd of Addis Ababa residents, visitors, and design enthusiasts. Many attendees praised the event for its organization, thoughtful curation, and the sense of pride it inspired in Ethiopian-made goods.

By the close of Sunday, Urban Finds had not only offered great shopping but had also highlighted how Ethiopia’s creative industry continued to grow — with local talent confidently taking its place on the global stage.

The success of the Urban Finds Bazaar signaled a promising future for Ethiopia’s creative economy. With events like this, Addis Ababa was steadily becoming a hub for design, craftsmanship, and innovation — where local creativity met global inspiration.
